Amazon Redshift has introduced three new SQL features to enhance zero-ETL integrations, enabling more efficient data analysis and management:
- QUERY_ALL_STATES: Allows querying tables during updates, ensuring continuous data availability
- TRUNCATECOLUMNS: Automatically truncates VARCHAR data exceeding length limits, preventing replication errors
- ACCEPTINVCHARS: Replaces invalid UTF-8 characters with a specified character, improving data compatibility
These features help break down data silos, enable timely analytics and machine learning, and improve data integrity across different sources. Customers can modify existing integrations or create new ones using these new SQL capabilities.
