Amazon Redshift has announced the general availability of Multi-AZ deployments for RA3 clusters in two additional AWS regions: Asia Pacific (Thailand) and Mexico (Central).
- Multi-AZ deployments enable running data warehouses across multiple Availability Zones
- Raises the Service Level Agreement (SLA) to 99.99%
- Provides fast failover times and simplified operations for mission-critical workloads
- Automatically recovers in another AZ during potential Availability Zone failures
- Maximizes query processing throughput by using compute resources from multiple AZs
The feature is now available through the Redshift Console, API, and CLI, targeting enterprise customers with high-availability data warehouse requirements.
