Amazon RDS has enhanced IAM Database Authentication with new metrics and logs to improve observability and troubleshooting capabilities.

Provides visibility into authentication issues for RDS databases
Supports MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Aurora MySQL, and Aurora PostgreSQL
Metrics automatically available in Amazon CloudWatch when IAM DB Authentication is enabled
Error logs can be exported to CloudWatch Logs
Helps diagnose connection failures due to configuration, permissions, expired tokens, or throttling

This update enables easier investigation and resolution of database authentication problems across supported RDS database engines.
