AWS HealthImaging has announced a new feature supporting DICOMweb series level metadata retrievals, enhancing its imaging service capabilities.

• Enables retrieving metadata for all DICOM instances in a series through a single API action
• Extends support for the DICOMweb standard
• Reduces cost and complexity of metadata retrieval
• Provides consistent low-latency metadata access
• Supports clinical, AI, and research use cases

The service is currently available in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Sydney), and Europe (Ireland) regions, and is a HIPAA-eligible service for healthcare and research organizations.
