Amazon Rekognition Face Liveness now returns Feedback Codes

News

Amazon Rekognition Face Liveness now returns Feedback Codes that help customers understand why a liveness check received a low score and retry successfully.

  • Feedback Codes identify specific conditions contributing to low scores: poor lighting, face obstruction, closed eyes, low video quality
  • Codes returned in GetFaceLivenessSessionResults API response
  • Single session can return multiple Feedback Codes for comprehensive issue resolution
  • Useful for identity verification onboarding, re-authentication, and accessibility scenarios
  • Available in US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), Europe (Ireland), Asia Pacific (Tokyo, Mumbai, Malaysia, Thailand), South America (São Paulo)

Feedback Codes enable end users to make targeted corrections and retry liveness checks with confidence.
