AWS Backup logically air-gapped vault now supports Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, enabling secure backup protection with cross-account and cross-region capabilities.
- Store immutable, encrypted FSx for NetApp ONTAP backups in logically air-gapped vaults locked by default
- Share vaults across accounts and AWS Organizations using AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM)
- Enable direct restore from protected accounts to reduce recovery time from data loss events
- Support multi-party approval for vault access during account compromise scenarios
- Available in all AWS Regions where both services are supported
This capability helps organizations reduce downtime risk, ensure business continuity, and meet compliance and disaster recovery requirements for FSx for NetApp ONTAP workloads.
