AWS Deadline Cloud now supports flexible expressions and rich parameter types in job templates, enabling customers to automate pipeline operations more effectively.
- Expressions support arithmetic, conditionals, string/path operations, and list comprehensions in Python-style syntax
- New parameter types include boolean, list, and frame-range to match pipeline descriptions
- Expressions are type-checked at submission with deterministic evaluation for predictable job execution
- Capabilities come from the new EXPR extension to Open Job Description specification
- Available in all AWS Regions where Deadline Cloud is supported
These enhancements make it easier to automate bespoke pipeline operations and fit Deadline Cloud to existing production workflows.
