Serve live, governed data in AI-built apps with Amazon Quick
Machine Learning Blog
Amazon Quick introduces Live Data in Apps, allowing AI-built applications to query governed QuickSight datasets in real time instead of using static build-time snapshots.
- Build apps using natural language prompts; AI agent discovers relevant datasets and writes SQL automatically
- Published apps re-run queries live on each user access, ensuring current data with no manual refresh needed
- Row-level and column-level security rules apply automatically; each user sees only data they're permitted to access
- Supports both SPICE (in-memory) and Direct Query datasets from QuickSight
- One-time consent required per dataset; queries execute as the viewing user for security enforcement
- Query guardrails prevent incomplete data; pagination available for large result sets
Live Data in Apps eliminates manual data refresh workflows and enables business users to build governed, real-time data applications without coding or IT involvement.
