Amazon Quick on desktop now uses your organization's existing Amazon Quick sign-in
News
Amazon Quick desktop application now uses the same sign-in method as the organization's Quick web application, simplifying authentication setup.
- Desktop app automatically uses existing web sign-in credentials (IAM Identity Center, IAM federation, or native Quick users)
- Administrators add desktop connector once in Amazon Quick console to enable access
- Users sign in via browser after entering their Quick account name
- No separate OIDC registration or desktop-specific configuration required
- Optional: Organizations can still configure dedicated identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta, or Ping Identity
Streamlines desktop access deployment by leveraging existing organizational authentication infrastructure.
