Amazon has announced the general availability of Redshift ML, a feature that allows users to create, train, and deploy machine learning models using SQL commands directly within Amazon Redshift.
- Leverages Amazon SageMaker for model training without moving data
- Automatically discovers and tunes the best machine learning model
- Supports use cases like churn prediction and fraud risk scoring
- Can use SageMaker Autopilot or choose specific model types like XGBoost
- Allows predictions through SQL queries with no additional Redshift charges
- Available in multiple regions across US, Europe, Asia Pacific, and South America
Redshift ML simplifies machine learning by enabling data analysts and engineers to build and use ML models directly within their data warehouse using familiar SQL commands.
