Simplify Service-to-Service Connectivity, Security, and Monitoring with Amazon VPC Lattice – Now Generally Available

Blog

AWS has announced the general availability of Amazon VPC Lattice, a new networking service that simplifies service-to-service connectivity, security, and monitoring across different compute environments.

  • Provides a consistent way to connect services across instances, containers, and serverless applications
  • Supports custom domain names and SSL/TLS certificates
  • Enables Kubernetes integration via AWS Gateway API Controller
  • Allows using Application Load Balancers and Network Load Balancers as targets
  • Supports IPv6 connectivity
  • Uses IAM for zero-trust authentication and authorization

VPC Lattice simplifies service communication across different AWS accounts and VPCs, allowing teams to focus on application logic rather than networking complexities.
