Amazon CloudFront announces support for 3072-bit RSA certificates

Amazon CloudFront now supports 3072-bit RSA certificates, providing enhanced communication security for customers.

  • Previously, CloudFront only supported 1024-bit, 2048-bit RSA, or ECDSA P256 certificates
  • 3072-bit RSA certificates offer improved security comparable to ECDSA P256
  • Maintains compatibility with legacy clients that might not support ECDSA certificates
  • Can be associated with CloudFront distributions via console or APIs
  • No additional fees for using 3072-bit RSA certificates

The new feature allows customers to strengthen their encryption and security when using Amazon CloudFront without compromising device compatibility.
