AWS has announced the general availability of AWS HealthImaging, a purpose-built service for storing, analyzing, and sharing medical imaging data at petabyte-scale.
- Supports DICOM P10 format medical imaging data
- Provides low-latency retrieval and purpose-built storage
- Allows organizations to access a single authoritative copy of medical imaging data
- Uses High-Throughput JPEG 2000 (HTJ2K) for efficient image compression
- Offers two storage tiers: Frequent Access and Archive Instant Access
- Integrates with Amazon SageMaker for machine learning
