This article announces the expansion of Amazon ECS Service Discovery to five additional AWS Regions.

• ECS Service Discovery now available in Middle East (UAE), Spain, Zurich, Hyderabad, and Melbourne
• Enables containerized services to discover and connect with each other using DNS
• Uses AWS Cloud Map to create and manage service name registry
• Services can be referenced by name in code with runtime DNS resolution
• Supports all networking modes for EC2 and AWS Fargate launch types
