AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery is now available in 5 additional Regions

AWS has expanded the availability of Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS) to 5 new regions, bringing its total coverage to 27 regions.
- New regions include Asia Pacific (Hyderabad, Melbourne), Europe (Spain, Zurich), and Middle East (UAE)
- Supports disaster recovery for on-premises and cloud-based applications
- Enables recovery of physical and virtual infrastructure, including VMware, Hyper-V, and EC2 instances
- Can recover critical databases like Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server
- Offers a unified recovery process that doesn't require specialized application skills
The service helps minimize downtime and data loss by providing fast, reliable recovery with affordable storage and minimal compute resources.
