This article announces the general availability of three new Amazon EC2 instance types powered by AWS Graviton3 processors with local NVMe SSD storage.

  • C7gd, M7gd, and R7gd instances now generally available with up to 3.8 TB local NVMe storage
  • Graviton3 processors deliver 25% better performance than Graviton2-based instances
  • 45% improved NVMe storage performance compared to Graviton2-based instances
  • DDR5 memory provides 50% more bandwidth than DDR4
  • Up to 60% less energy consumption for equivalent performance
  • C7gd ideal for HPC, ML inference, and ad serving
  • M7gd ideal for general purpose workloads and application servers
  • R7gd ideal for memory-intensive workloads and databases
  • Available in US East, US West, and Europe regions

These new instances combine improved performance, energy efficiency, and local storage for demanding workloads requiring high-speed, low-latency access to temporary data.
