Announcing additional Ephemeral Storage for EKS Fargate

This article announces that AWS Fargate for Amazon EKS now supports configurable ephemeral storage up to 175 GiB for containerized workloads.
- Customers can configure ephemeral storage size in pod specifications up to 175 GiB
- 20 GiB of ephemeral storage included with every EKS Fargate pod
- Additional storage charged per GB for pod runtime duration
- Enables data-intensive workloads like ML inference and data processing
- Available in all regions where AWS Fargate for EKS is supported
- Requires Kubernetes version 1.23 or later
This enhancement allows customers with data-intensive workloads to use AWS Fargate, reducing operational overhead while paying only for resources consumed.
