This article announces that AWS Batch now supports Linux ARM64 and Windows x86 containers in AWS Fargate through the AWS Batch console.
- Linux ARM64 and Windows x86 containers now supported in Fargate compute environments
- ARM64 support enables use of Graviton instances for improved price/performance
- Create ARM64 and Windows job definitions via AWS Batch console Job Definitions tab
- Programmatic configuration available through RegisterJobDefinition API
- Linux ARM64 available in all AWS Batch regions supporting Fargate ARM64
- Windows x86 available in all AWS Batch regions except GovCloud (US)
AWS Batch customers can now expand their container architecture options with ARM64 and Windows support in Fargate, simplifying modern container adoption.
