This article announces that Amazon FSx for Windows File Server has increased its maximum throughput capacity and IOPS performance capabilities.
- Maximum throughput increased from 2 GB/s to 12 GB/s per file system
- Maximum IOPS increased from 80,000 to 350,000
- Four new throughput capacity levels now available for selection
- Supports performance-intensive workloads: media processing, video editing, databases, analytics, VDI
- Available in six AWS regions including US East, US West, Europe Ireland, and Asia Pacific
- Existing file systems can scale to new levels during maintenance windows
