This article announces that Amazon SNS now provides additional usage metrics in Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring service quotas.
- New metrics track Topics per Account, Filter Policies per Account, and Pending Subscriptions per Account
- Metrics available under AWS/Usage namespace in CloudWatch
- AWS Service Quotas allows viewing utilization metrics and setting CloudWatch alarms
- Alarms notify when quota utilization exceeds configurable thresholds
- Available in all AWS Regions at no additional cost
These new metrics enable better monitoring and management of Amazon SNS resource usage against service quotas.
