AWS Glue adds additional 13 new transforms including flag duplicates

This announcement introduces 13 new built-in transforms for AWS Glue, a serverless data integration service. These new transforms will enable ETL developers to build more sophisticated data pipelines without writing custom code for common transform tasks.

Specifically, the new transforms include:

• Flag duplicates in column
• Format Phone Number
• Format case
• Fill with mode
• Flag duplicate rows
• Remove duplicates
• Month name
• Is even
• Cryptographic Hash
• Decrypt
• Encrypt
• Int to IP
• IP to int

These transforms allow tasks like highlighting/removing duplicates, hashing values, encrypting/decrypting data, and more. The new transforms are available for code-based AWS Glue jobs in all regions where AWS Glue 4.0 is available.
