2024 H1 IRAP report is now available on AWS Artifact for Australian customers

This article announces the availability of the new Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) report for the first half of 2024 on AWS Artifact for Australian customers. The report assesses additional AWS services at the PROTECTED level under IRAP, bringing the total number of assessed services to 158.

Specifically, the article covers:

  • The 7 newly assessed AWS services at the PROTECTED level: AWS App Runner, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon DataZone, Amazon Security Lake, AWS Signer, AWS User Notifications, and AWS Verified Access
  • How Amazon Bedrock and Amazon DataZone can help Australian customers align with governance, sovereignty, and security requirements for generative AI applications
  • The availability of an IRAP documentation pack to help customers plan, architect, and assess risk for their workloads using AWS Cloud services, in accordance with Australian government guidelines
  • The inclusion of updated versions of the AWS Consumer Guide and a whitepaper on reference architectures for PROTECTED workloads in the IRAP pack on AWS Artifact
  • An invitation for customers to provide feedback on additional services they would like to see in scope for future IRAP assessments
