This article discusses the expansion of AWS CloudShell's latest capabilities to all commercial Regions. It highlights three key improvements:

  • Support for Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), allowing CloudShell environments to be created securely within a VPC
  • Improved environment start times for faster access
  • Support for Docker environments, enabling users to initialize and connect to Docker containers for prototyping or deploying Docker-based resources

These features were previously available only in a limited set of Regions, but are now supported across all commercial Regions where AWS CloudShell is live. The article provides links to relevant documentation for more details on these expanded capabilities.
