Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra) has introduced a new feature that allows users to add Regions to existing Keyspaces without recreating them.
- Users can now convert single-Region Keyspaces to multi-Region Keyspaces
- Add new Regions to existing multi-Region Keyspaces seamlessly
- Enables lower read and write latencies by adding Regions closer to application traffic
- Improves application availability and resiliency
- AWS fully manages the Region addition process, including data population
- Allows continued read and write operations during Region addition
This update provides customers with greater flexibility in managing their database infrastructure, allowing them to adapt to changing business and application needs more easily.
