- 89% of IT decision-makers consider generative AI adoption important
- 12% have already adopted the technology, with 30% expecting adoption in the next 1-2 years
- Top use cases include:
- Improving operational efficiency (43%)
- Enhancing communications (29%)
- Education and workforce development (28%)
- Enhancing citizen services (21%)
- 85% of respondents seek a trusted partner to explore generative AI potential
- 84% are interested in working with AI/ML experts for use cases and implementation
AWS is supporting public sector generative AI adoption through services like Amazon Q, SageMaker, and Bedrock, and has launched a $50 million two-year initiative to accelerate innovation in this space.
