Advancing research in the cloud: AWS announces expanded training resources

AWS has announced expanded training resources for academic researchers, including three new learning plans and four ramp-up guides to support research activities in the cloud.
- New Academic Research Learning Plans include:
- Foundational Researcher Learning Plan (11 courses, 9+ hours)
- Quantum Learning Plan for quantum technology research
- Building on existing AWS Cloud Essentials course
- Four new Ramp-up Guides cover:
- AI, ML, and Generative AI
- High Performance Computing (HPC)
- Statistician Researchers
- Research IT professionals
- Resources aim to address cloud skills gaps in research by providing:
- Targeted training for different research disciplines
- No-cost online learning pathways
- Guided learning experiences
The initiative helps researchers leverage cloud technologies to accelerate their research computing capabilities across various domains.
