Amazon WorkSpaces Secure Browser now supports inline data redaction

News

Amazon WorkSpaces Secure Browser has introduced inline data redaction, a new security feature that allows administrators to automatically hide sensitive information in web content.

  • Administrators can create policies to redact sensitive data fields like Social Security and credit card numbers
  • Supports 30 built-in data types and allows creation of custom data types
  • Policies can be configured with different levels of enforcement and applied to specific URLs
  • Example use case: Protecting credit card numbers during customer support interactions
  • Feature is available at no additional charge in all regions where WorkSpaces Secure Browser is offered

This new capability enhances data privacy and security by preventing unauthorized visual exposure of sensitive information during web browsing.
