News
Amazon S3 Express One Zone now supports S3 Lifecycle object expiration, a feature that helps optimize storage costs for high-performance storage.
- Users can configure lifecycle rules to automatically expire objects based on age
- Expiration rules can apply to entire buckets or filtered by prefix/object size
- Example: Expire objects smaller than 512 KB after 3 days or objects in a prefix after 10 days
- Expirations are logged in AWS CloudTrail for monitoring and auditing
- Available in all AWS Regions where S3 Express One Zone is supported
The feature can be configured using Amazon S3 REST API, AWS CLI, or AWS SDK, providing flexible storage management for latency-sensitive applications.
