Singapore’s NHG Cares App uses AWS to support a healthier population

The National Healthcare Group (NHG) in Singapore has developed the NHG Cares App using AWS services to support population health and empower residents to manage their healthcare.
- App enables residents to access personalized care plans, track health interventions, schedule appointments, and request medication refills
- Features a marketplace of over 1,000 health and social care programs called Health Kampung
- Built using AWS services including Amazon Cognito, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, Fargate, ECS, and Aurora
- Supports social prescribing by allowing GPs to recommend health activities and connect residents with community services
- Aligns with Singapore's Healthier SG strategy to address aging population and improve population health
The app represents a digital transformation in healthcare, shifting from episodic care to a more holistic approach to wellness and patient engagement.
