Amazon RDS for SQL Server Supports Minor Versions in November 2024

Amazon RDS for SQL Server has released new minor versions for SQL Server across multiple editions and versions:
- New minor versions available for SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022
- Covers Express, Web, Standard, and Enterprise editions
- Specific versions released include:
- SQL Server 2016 GDR for SP3 (13.0.6455.2)
- SQL Server 2017 CU31 GDR (14.0.3485.1)
- SQL Server 2019 CU29 GDR (15.0.4410.1)
- SQL Server 2022 CU16 (16.0.4165.4)
- Available in all AWS commercial regions, including AWS GovCloud (US)
Customers can upgrade their database instances easily through the RDS Management Console or AWS CLI, with versions offering performance enhancements and security fixes.
