AWS Verified Access now supports secure access to resources over non-HTTP(S) protocols (in preview)

AWS News Blog

AWS Verified Access has launched a preview feature that extends secure, VPN-less access to non-HTTP(S) protocols like SSH, RDP, and database connections, enabling zero trust network access.

  • Supports secure access to resources over protocols like SSH, RDP, JDBC, and ODBC
  • Provides context-aware access policies based on identity and device security
  • Eliminates need for separate VPNs or bastion hosts
  • Offers two endpoint target types: single resource and network CIDR
  • Automatically creates DNS records for resources within specified CIDR ranges

The preview is available in 19 AWS regions, with the first 100 connections per month free. This feature simplifies network access management and supports zero trust security architectures.
