Simplify governance with declarative policies
AWS News Blog
AWS has announced a new feature called declarative policies, which helps organizations define and enforce desired cloud resource configurations across multiple accounts.
- Allows centralized definition of cloud resource standards and configurations
- Supports immediate enforcement of policies across AWS Organizations
- Currently supports Amazon EC2, VPC, and EBS services
- Enables blocking public access, controlling AMI settings, and enforcing security standards
- Provides custom error messages for non-compliant actions
- Can be configured through AWS Organizations console, CLI, CloudFormation, and Control Tower
The feature aims to simplify governance by reducing policy maintenance overhead and providing consistent configuration enforcement across an organization's AWS accounts.
