AWS has expanded VPC Lattice with VPC Resources support for TCP protocols, enabling more comprehensive network connectivity and resource sharing.
- Now supports connecting TCP resources like Amazon RDS databases, custom DNS, and IP endpoints to service networks
- Enables sharing application dependencies across multiple VPCs, accounts, and on-premises environments
- Supports additional protocols including TLS, HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP
- Provides centralized network management with built-in access controls
- Generally available in 22 regions worldwide, including major AWS geographical areas
This update significantly simplifies network management by allowing more flexible and centralized connectivity for diverse application resources.
