AWS has expanded the Registry of Open Data with 39 new or updated datasets across multiple categories, demonstrating their commitment to democratizing data access through the AWS Open Data Sponsorship Program.

  • New datasets span four primary categories: Climate and Weather, Geospatial, Life Sciences, and Machine Learning
  • Highlights include the RSNA Cervical Spine Fracture Detection dataset with 2,000 CT studies from six continents
  • Categories feature datasets from organizations like NASA, NOAA, RSNA, and various research institutions
  • Life sciences datasets include medical imaging collections for trauma, cancer, and neurological detection
  • The program aims to lower data analysis costs and encourage community development around shared datasets

These datasets are now available on AWS and AWS Data Exchange, providing researchers and innovators with extensive, cloud-optimized data resources.
