Amazon has announced the launch of the GenAI Index in Amazon Kendra, a new AI-powered search service feature designed to enhance intelligent search and retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems.
- Provides high out-of-the-box search accuracy using advanced information retrieval technologies
- Supports mobility across AWS generative AI services like Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q Business
- Available as a managed retriever in Bedrock Knowledge Bases
- Supports connectors for 43 different data sources
- Currently available in US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) regions
The GenAI Index enables customers to create flexible, advanced generative AI applications with easy content ingestion and integration across multiple AWS services.
