AWS introduces Amazon S3 Tables, a new cloud object store with built-in Apache Iceberg support designed to simplify and optimize data lake management. Key features include:

  • Enhanced performance with up to 3x faster query speeds and 10x higher transaction rates

The solution demonstrates building a transactional data lake using S3 Tables, Apache Spark, and EMR, showcasing capabilities like data loading, table alteration, and time travel queries for real-time analytics.
