AWS announces new AWS Direct Connect location and expansion in Querétaro, Mexico

AWS has expanded its Direct Connect infrastructure in Mexico with two significant announcements:
- Opened a new Direct Connect location at Equinix MX1 data center in Querétaro
- This is the second AWS Direct Connect location in Mexico
- Provides private, direct network access to AWS public regions and AWS Local Zones
- Offers dedicated connection speeds of 10 Gbps and 100 Gbps with MACsec encryption
- Added 10Gbps and 100Gbps MACsec services to existing KIO Networks data center in Querétaro
The Direct Connect service enables private, physical network connections between AWS and customer infrastructure, offering more consistent network performance compared to public internet connections.
