AWS Marketplace introduces 8 decimal place precision for usage pricing
News
AWS Marketplace has enhanced its pricing precision by allowing sellers to set usage rates with up to 8 decimal places, a significant upgrade from the previous 3-decimal limit.
- Enables more accurate pay-as-you-go pricing with fractional cent costs
- Provides sellers greater flexibility in pricing strategies
- Allows more granular per-unit pricing (e.g., per megabyte or gigabyte)
- Helps sellers maintain specific profit margins with precise pricing
- Supports SaaS, server, and AWS Data Exchange products across all AWS Regions
This update gives sellers more control over pricing, enabling more accurate billing calculations and improved profitability, especially in markets where small price differences are significant.
