- New two-step setup process in the Amazon Q console
- AWS account administrators can create subscriptions for standalone or AWS Organizations member accounts
- Guided setup allows creating local users and configuring managed applications
- Subscribed users receive credentials to set up the Amazon Q Developer plugin in their IDE
- Offers context-aware code recommendations and enhanced development capabilities
- Organizations management accounts maintain existing IAM Identity Center access management
The new onboarding experience aims to simplify subscription management and help developers quickly leverage Amazon Q Developer's AI-powered coding assistance.
