Amazon OpenSearch Serverless expands support for time-series workloads up to 100TB

Amazon has expanded OpenSearch Serverless capabilities to support larger time-series workloads:

  • Now supports up to 100TB of data for time-series collections
  • Allows independent scaling of indexing and search operations using up to 1700 OpenSearch Compute Units (OCUs)
  • Enables more data-intensive use cases like log analytics, security analytics, and real-time application monitoring
  • Customers can independently configure maximum OCU limits for search and indexing
  • Provides CloudWatch metrics for real-time OCU usage monitoring

The update enhances OpenSearch Serverless by offering more flexible infrastructure management and support for larger, more complex workloads.
