AWS CloudWatch Database Insights has expanded to support Amazon RDS databases, offering a comprehensive observability solution for database monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Provides unified view of logs and metrics across applications, databases, and operating systems
- Offers pre-built dashboards and recommended alarms for database fleet health monitoring
- Enables guided troubleshooting with root-cause analysis capabilities
- Allows application developers to correlate database performance with application dependencies
- Can be enabled through RDS service console, AWS APIs, and SDKs
The service is available in all public AWS Regions with a new vCPU-based pricing model, providing DevOps engineers and database administrators with enhanced observability tools.
