Developer Tools Blog

AWS has introduced a developer preview for .NET Aspire Lambda development support, enabling developers to run and debug Lambda functions locally with a .NET-native experience.

  • Allows orchestrating Lambda functions through .NET Aspire app host
  • Supports F5 debugging of Lambda functions in Visual Studio
  • Provides an API Gateway emulator for local REST API testing
  • Enables configuration of log levels and formats
  • Supports connecting to AWS SDK configurations

Key features include local Lambda function debugging, API Gateway emulation, and simplified development workflow for .NET serverless applications. The integration is currently in developer preview and available through the Aspire.Hosting.AWS package.
