AWS has expanded its AWS WAF Targeted Bot Control service to AWS GovCloud (US) Regions, enhancing protection for enterprise applications against sophisticated bot attacks.

  • Protects critical applications like e-commerce and financial services websites
  • Supports protection for multiple AWS resources including:
    • CloudFront distributions
    • API Gateway REST APIs
    • Application Load Balancers
    • AppSync GraphQL APIs
    • App Runner
    • Verified Access
    • Cognito user pools
  • Part of AWS WAF web application firewall service
  • Helps prevent availability issues and security compromises

The expansion provides government and sensitive enterprise customers with enhanced bot protection in dedicated secure regions.
