Getting started with computer use in Amazon Bedrock Agents

Machine Learning Blog

AWS has announced computer use capabilities within Amazon Bedrock Agents, leveraging Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet V2 and Claude Sonnet 3.7 models to enable visual perception and interaction with digital interfaces.

  • Allows agents to perceive and interact with user interfaces through actions like clicking, typing, and scrolling
  • Provides a secure, managed environment for automating complex workflows across multiple applications
  • Supports three primary action groups: Computer tool, Text editor tool, and Bash commands
  • Enables automation of repetitive tasks without requiring custom API integrations
  • Offers comprehensive logging, tracing, and orchestration capabilities

The feature is currently in beta and requires careful implementation with security precautions to prevent potential risks associated with computer use interactions.
