Amazon Bedrock Guardrails announces IAM Policy-based enforcement to deliver safe AI interactions
Machine Learning Blog
Amazon Bedrock Guardrails has introduced IAM policy-based enforcement to help organizations implement safe and consistent AI interactions across generative AI applications.
- New IAM condition key `bedrock:GuardrailIdentifier` enables mandatory guardrail enforcement for every model inference call
- Supports six types of policy safeguards: content filters, denied topics, sensitive information filters, word filters, contextual grounding checks, and automated reasoning
- Allows security teams to centrally control and enforce AI safety policies across different foundation models
- Provides multiple policy examples demonstrating how to enforce specific guardrails during model inference
- Helps organizations mitigate risks related to harmful content, privacy violations, and bias in AI applications
This advancement enables organizations to scale generative AI initiatives while maintaining comprehensive safety and governance controls.
