AWS has announced Terraform support for the AWS Parallel Computing Service (PCS), enabling customers to create and manage high-performance computing (HPC) clusters using Infrastructure as Code.
- Customers can now define and deploy PCS infrastructure through Terraform
- Uses the Terraform AWS Cloud Control Provider for integration
- Supports managing HPC environments with Slurm workloads
- Complements existing management methods like AWS Console and CLI
- Example implementation and documentation are available for getting started
This release simplifies HPC infrastructure management by allowing users to leverage Terraform's workflow for provisioning and configuring PCS clusters.
