AWS Lambda adds support for Ruby 3.4

AWS Lambda has added support for Ruby 3.4, enabling developers to create serverless applications using the latest long-term support (LTS) release of Ruby.

  • Ruby 3.4 supported as both managed runtime and container base image
  • Expected to receive security and bug fixes until March 2028
  • Updated runtime interface client released as open source on Github
  • Available in all AWS Regions, including China and GovCloud
  • Supports deployment via Lambda console, AWS CLI, SAM, CDK, and CloudFormation

This update provides developers with the latest Ruby language features and improved integration with AWS Lambda services.
