AWS has announced a new AWS Direct Connect location in Athens, Greece, located within the Digital Realty ATH1 data center. This is the first AWS Direct Connect location in Greece.
- Provides private, direct network access to AWS public regions, AWS GovCloud Regions, and AWS Local Zones
- Offers dedicated connection speeds of 10 Gbps and 100 Gbps
- Includes MACsec encryption for enhanced security
- Enables private, physical network connections between AWS and customer data centers
- Part of AWS's global network of 147+ Direct Connect locations
The new location allows customers in Greece to establish more consistent and secure network connections to AWS services.
