AWS Payment Cryptography launches support for exchanging cryptographic keys using ECDH

AWS Payment Cryptography has launched support for Elliptic-curve Diffie–Hellman (ECDH) key exchange, offering enhanced cryptographic capabilities for payment processing.

  • Supports cryptographic key exchanges up to 256 bits in strength
  • Provides secure key synchronization and migration between cloud and on-premise systems
  • Enables easier transition from TDES to more secure AES encryption standards
  • Supports key transfers for mobile payment applications
  • Compliant with PCI PIN Security and Point-to-Point Encryption requirements

The new feature simplifies cryptographic operations and allows customers to more easily upgrade to modern encryption standards while maintaining interoperability.
