Amazon Redshift Concurrency Scaling is now available in 2 additional regions

Amazon has expanded the availability of Redshift Concurrency Scaling to two new regions: Israel (Tel Aviv) and Canada West (Calgary).

  • Enables elastic scaling of query processing power for concurrent queries
  • Adds query processing resources transparently in seconds
  • Customers receive up to one hour of free Concurrency Scaling credits
  • Can be enabled in AWS Management Console by setting Concurrency Scaling Mode to Auto
  • Allows control of usage for specific user groups and workloads

The feature helps customers maintain consistent performance during fluctuating analytical demand while providing cost predictability.
